They are embellished with a lot of filigree elements. The most important decoration of woman’s clothes is the BUCKLE; it has different forms: round, leaf like and convex. Buckles are most always expressing the local characteristics. They have engraved geometrical and plant motives enriched with filigree elements. Belts are adorned with various pendants. It was especially characteristic in the middle ages. In that time pendants were set on belts not only as adornment but also from practical reasons. They were different in shape; most often they had a semi circular shape with circular links on which auxiliary elements were fastened.
